I think I may have become careless about the wire that connects the microphone to the computer, perhaps crossing it with the wire to the headphones. Let's hope these corrections solve these files' issues. I have already recorded the next 2 stories, 13 and 14, so these noises may recur in them. I'll record 15 and 16 later today or tomorrow and will be aware of wires and hope that this doesn't recur. Thanks for finding these noises for me.

I have slightly edited the book description:
This 1916 book is a collection of sixteen of the author's dog stories previously published in magazines.
Since this isn't a story, you'll notice that I called it number 16 rather than story 16.
If you find no corrections to be made we are finished recording this book.
