all PL ok. This seems to be quite an interesting story, need to put it on my reading list. Does one have to read all the Barchester chronicles in the correct order to follow the plot or is each book a stand-alone, I wonder ?

ah Mrs Proudie, I think I have heard of her already, even though I haven't read the books yet. So she must be very famous

From the excerpts I just heard now, she was annoying indeed.

But the ending does come about a bit quickly. Maybe there is a hint of suicide ?

wow now this was a book and an author I have never even heard of.

But it sounds very interesting, even though the constant bickering and fighting of the lovers may be getting tiresome if the book goes on for too long

Highly interesting chapter, especially because it was all new to me. I only found one tiny error:

> at 22:15: (p. 150) “She had invited him into a world so strange...” – you say “he”, but the author is female

Yes she has a sort of oomph that some other heroines lacked.

I cannot ignore you for any long time

this section was quite interesting again, as I had never heard of this author before. The story is of course a typical Romeo and Juliet story, but with the twist that the family fathers seem to be more inclined to accept their children's love for each other. At least there is a happy ending then. And I thought Nellie and her story was more interesting than Kate's
