I'm proof-listening now. Your tech specs are mostly OK, but it's fairly quiet (86dB, and we aim for 89dB). You can amplify in Audacity, but for next time you could try increasing the input volume on your mic or positioning yourself closer to the mic. (Just make sure that the mic is slightly above or to the side of your mouth, so your breath doesn't hit it.)

Are you OK with the editing process? I've only listened to the first minute, but there are a few stumbles. The easiest thing to do when you fumble something is to go back to the last natural pause (usually a comma or period) and restart from there. Then it's really easy to snip that part out afterwards. https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Editing_Audio
Thanks for the link! I've been busy with several things as of late so I wanted to ask if you could put my second section as open. As for the first one, I can redo it at a higher volume and work on doing a better job editing. There's definitely a learning curve to the recording process  :D

I've put section 5 back up for grabs.

Not to worry. It takes a while to find your groove. :D

I'll claim Section 5 if it is still re-opened.

Thanks!

Greetings. Due to time constraints over the past month, I have been unable to record section 8 in a consistent manner and therefore would like to withdraw my claim for section 8 in order to achieve a faster completion of the project. Thank you.

I see Chapter 8 has been orphaned. I will glady pick it up if nobody else has claimed it.

Thanks!

Just a reminder that I'm more than happy to take this section. I don't want to begin recording until I see the updated MW!

Thanks!

Greg - 8 is yours.
Foon - 6 is yours.
grs2905 - 17 is yours.

Thank you everyone!

I think the MW is up to date and we are moving to Readers Found. :)
