Part 3 PL ok now. Looking forward to the rest.

I think I mentioned awhile back to you that I was BCing a MacDonald play. It's been fully cast for a while now, but I'm going to have to orphan one of the female roles. If you don't have any other projects lined up, and you'd like a nice drama role, you'd make a fantastic Constance. (She's very sweet. :) ) Here is the thread, if you want to take a look: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=68714

I'm reading it now to check it out, though after act one I am rather confused about the character of Constance!

She is a sweet young woman who was rescued from the slums as a child and brought up as the ward of Arthur's family. Arthur is in love with her, but has only just now realized it, and now she's engaged to Waterfield (who is a creep and a womanizer).

Parts 4 & 5 PL ok.

Part 6:

0:53-0:55 repeat of "or necessarily involved shame"

Wonderful story! This is one I hadn't yet gotten to. Thank you! I wonder whether it was semi-autobiographical?

Part 6 is ready for spot PL. Now 22:37 in duration.

I first read this one evening last month and thought, I can handle recording that. It also made me wonder how much came from George MacDonald's own experience. I can't remember much about his wife from the biography I read years ago.

This project is now in our catalog at https://librivox.org/far-above-rubies-by-george-macdonald/

This has been the easiest project to catalog I've ever had. A big thanks to the soloist and DPL for doing such a great job.
