Use the Archive copy. I just had the same experience. This has never happened to me before. PL is standard btw.

Thanks, Dave, I'll move forward. I did PL to the standard but I watched word-for-word to insure the text was the same. Kevin read it perfectly.

Kevin:

I have marked Section 2 PL-OK--but I do have a question. When parentheses are present in the work, you have frequently (but not always--see 2:00 in the reading) signposted them by saying bracket/end bracket. Do you want me to PL for that--as in when you miss one, do you want me to call it to your attention?

I did not do that in this section, but if you want, I'll be happy to go back and do it. It's your project, and the decision is entirely yours.

I'll have Section 3 out a little later. I am enjoying listening to your reading.

Many thanks,

Philip

Kevin:

One correction in Chapter 2:

At 5:47 the phrase "It wintered...in Sheppey" is inserted out of position. It recurs in its proper place later in the reading. Other than that, another fine job.

Many thanks,

Philip

Hi Philip,
I accessed the site again today, and completed chapter 3, a longer one. You might try downloading a copy the next time Gutenberg is clear. I read it from an online html, no problem for me so far. Maybe patience is all that is required?
Sincerely, Kevin

Kevin:

I'm sorry that I am so far behind in proof listening, but until this minute I didn't realize you had posted anything. If you post a message here saying you've uploaded a section, I will be more likely to see it and get it PL'd more quickly.

I'll get on these and get caught up as quickly as I can.

Many thanks,

Philip

Kevin:

Section 5 is PL-ok!

One note for Section 4:

At 19:15 the phrase "on the reverse" is omitted.

Section 6: 1 note at 1:01 I heard "distributed": I expected to hear "disturbed"

Sections 7, 10, and 11 are PL-OK! Nicely done.

Many thanks,

Philip

It may be tomorrow before I get the other two out....but I will definitely have them tomorrow.
