DrPGould wrote: July 18th, 2018, 7:56 pm I'm interested in claiming the role of the Count in Moliere's Countess of Escarbagnas.
I see one line in Scene 19--in Latin. (He is onstage in Scene 20--but no lines). I don't mind that, but I just want to be sure that's all before I submit a recording.
hmmm yes I think you are right. The count is supposed to be a young fellow still, learning his latin. It's a bit confusing that the abbreviation of the Countess and the Count are the same. :? But judging from what is said, the Latin is the only thing he has to say.

I'll sign you up, thanks, Philip :9: You make our Molière fully claimed now.

Here is the link for the Count

Tried to give the lad a touch of insouciance bordering on ennui (ie behold the trained baboon).

Hope this works.

Many thanks,

Philip

Philip, would you take a female narrator for Efficiency? Or would you prefer a male voice considering Roosevelt's letter?
Foon - Real life is getting in the way of LV, will be slow until all is back on track, please bear with me!

Foon:

I'd be delighted to have you narrate Efficiency. (The "mad" scientist could also be a gender neutral part). If you do go ahead with the narration, the Roosevelt letter is full of strikeovers and handwritten corrections, but was sent that way. If those are difficult to follow, I'd be happy to help you figure it out.

Many thanks,

Philip

Alrighty then!

So for the letter.. I'll try to adhere to any corrections, inserts, etc, as best I can, right?
I might just type out the letter as I plan to read it and post it here before recording, would that be a good idea?

haha yes I see what you mean. A bit like an upper-class brat at a very expensive public school in England. Well done.

Only one thing: could you please include the full description for the voice credit: "The Count, son to the Countess, read by Philip Gould"

Thanks !

Narrator was almost perfect, but unfortunately there was one thing left out:
  • At roughly 10:32, the stage direction "pointing to his shoes" needs to be added.
Sorry for the delay in PLing. I can't wait to hear more submissions when they come in!
Fixed narrator file uploaded.

Thanks, Todd

Mr. Brainard sounds like he might be a fun character. May I claim the role?

Many thanks,
