Suzy Sargent -- possibly of Maine -- has been contacted, but has not responded yet. If I don't hear from "Sooz" or any other would-be volunteers in a reasonable amount of time, I'll reassign their work to myself. I don't consider this project playtime; people need to grow up and take responsibility.

According to the MW, Sooz claimed the section March 14. The first post gives the usual 2 month deadline. It seems inconsistent to nag someone about a section they claimed only 2 weeks ago when the first post clearly says 2 months.

If you want the claim time to be shorter, please change the first post to reflect that. However, it's unfair for those who claimed under the original 2 month deadline to be kicked out of the project well within that time period.

It took me several days to put this project together, pulling out the data and doing the research; it's not a readymade I could just pull off PG and post, more like a labor of love. I want new volunteers to understand this. Also, I think that the 2 month wait period is okay for dedicated volunteers -- people who've been contributing daily or weekly -- on this site, but new people should be more respectful. It's bad enough when regular projects are upheld because someone drops a few files needing revisions and just leaves without a word. We BC's are going along at a fair clip and at the point when we should be cataloged, someone throws a spanner in the works.
