Holy frijoles, everyone! I just located a third volume of these Extraordinary Popular Delusions. If you enjoyed these, stay tuned. As soon as I have cleared a little space (say next week), I'll be posting the project to the new project thread. (This third volume is the final volume in the series).

The format of the sections will be approximately the same (MacKay has a thing for loooonnnngggg chapters), but the overall length is about 30,000 words shorter...still around 100,000 words though.

If you are interested in more madness of crowds...stay tuned......

Many thanks,

Philip

Well, I'm embarrassed.

The original publication was in 3 volumes...but the edition that we're reading from has the 3 volumes condensed into 2...so, happily, we've gotten it all. Sadly, there's nothing more. :(

SIGH

Well, there's still lots to do.......

Now, this was a challenge. I lost track of how many times I had to stop to go look something up while recording. From some of the mistakes I heard while editing, I think I must have recorded this when I was tired, too.

The audio quality isn't as good here as I'd like. There are one or two bumps or thuds that I left in, because I didn't want to go to the trouble, and for some reason it sounds a little muffled to me throughout. I don't know what caused that, or if it's just in my head, even. Anyway, it's as good as it'll be!
Well, this is a lovely recording and nothing that distracts. Congratulations on a challenging chapter, foreign words even!

You are all PL OK to this point.

I'll get to Section 28 tonight, I think.

Larry:

Many thanks for your diligent PL.

Philip

I have had messages from both the outstanding readers. Their sections (and the project) should be completed soon.

Section 30 (chapter 6) is uploaded and ready for review. *fingers crossed* I tried very hard to read the kids' quotes without an accent but it was nearly impossible so you'll hear traces of an inconsistent vaguely britishoid accent here. I also hope I didn't butcher the French and German too badly...
