Arkady Dolgoruky, is a 19-year-old intellectual. He is the illegitimate son of a landowner and dreams to become rich. In his quest to fulfil his dream, he meets people who teach him many kinds of ideologies. Thus, the work reflects Russian society. - Summary by Stav Nisser and Wikipedia.
  1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    .
  2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    .
  3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
    .
  4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): https://ebooks.adelaide.edu.au/d/dostoyevsky/d72r/
    .
  5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

    Need noise-cleaning?

    128 kbps MP3
    rawyouth_##_dostoyevsky_128kb.mp3 (all lower-case) where ## is the section number (e.g. rawyouth_01_dostoyevsky_128kb.mp3)

Sorry for the delay. Life is rather hectic right now. I hope to have everything filled in by the end of the weekend.

I am sorry, but can you put this project on hold? First final's time in my MA and I don't have a second for anything.

Thanks a lot. Sorry for being unavailable. The window has been filled. The chapters are long. I did not split any of them yet because I am not sure it is necessary and I see how it confuses readers. If it is, of course I would split. If you disagree, I will split now.

It's OK. I think that the 10K words are still less than the 70 minutes limit. We'll see how it goes.

Hello shushudolphin,
welcome to Librivox. I hope you will enjoy here. Sure, chapters 1-5 are all yours. However, before you proceed:
1. Please submit a one-minute sampal recording, to make sure your technical settings are all correct. Please post your sampal recording in the listeners and eddeters section of the forums.
2. Please let us know under which name you would like to appear in the catalogue, and if you have a personal url which you would like us to link to your name.
If you have questions, just ask.
Stav.

תודה רבה Miss Stav :)
I’ll get to making that sample, now.
I’d like to be known as Joshua Stevens in the catalogue.

I lived in Jerusalem for a year and a half. I plan on making aliyah. I'm thinking of moving to Haifa, but I'm just not sure when.
