[COMPLETE] REBELLION by Joseph M. Patterson -- icequeen
Here are 23 & 24. Love these 8 and 9 minute chapters. I can see us finishing this baby soon, except that next Wednesday I'm going to be having a nasty molar pulled,
and there'll probably be a few days afterwards when I won't be in shape for this activity. But, who knows?

Eschew obfuscation.
Oh, give it more than a few days! I had to have a cap put on a tooth a couple of months ago and it took me a week to get to normal! Chapters 23 and 24 are PL OK!

Here's 25, Ann. Thanks for giving me the week off
starting tomorrow, but I hope to record a couple of chapters today so that I might have some editing to do during the recovery period. We'll see how it goes.

Eschew obfuscation.
Ch. 27 is one of the best I've ever read.
Patterson brilliantly depicts an alcoholic who is at first in denial about his relationship to booze, then rationalizes the innocence of just one drink, which of course leads to the inevitable descent. Parts of this chapter should be read at AA meetings, IMHO.

I loved the rationalization, "Oh just one won't hurt!" Chapters 25, 26 and 27 are PL OK!

Some people say that it is, but I wonder if the effects of alcohol can be passed from father to child. Mother to child, yes, but father to child I don't know. Either way, that poor baby had a bad start. Poor thing!
