That should put my reputation right again.

Youthful Scully is fake news. You, my dear Kitty, resemble that remark. :help:

I’m going to have a look here and see if I’ll claim a chapter. :D

I hadn't expected that much tongue-twisters :D And I am incredibly curious - what on earth is her real treasure? :help:

well judging from the last chapter you just read to me, I think it's got something to do with her female attractions ;) (yes, it's definitely one of those books  ) I'm curious which of the three guys she will hook up with in the end. Maybe none of them

Well, it was fun listening to your two chapters, even though I missed so much in-between. Curious to fill in the gaps later on LOL
and I simply LOVE the authoritative tone you gave Dolores ! You have pirate queen material. You sound great in the dialogues. Also the ruffian voices of the crew are well chosen.

I do have some PL notes though. Some general ones and since you already told me I could go ahead and correct some of your pronunciation errors, I will mention four words that in my opinion make it hard to understand the meaning.

for Section 8:

> at 0:18: “The Pirate Woman, by Aylward Edward Dingle” – you omitted “Edward”

> at 0:25-0:29: I feel that 4 full seconds are too long to start the chapter. I was starting to think sth was wrong with the recording. I think one or two at the most are perfectly enough

> at 2:43: “Then fell a hush full of anxiety or terror” – “anxiety” is pronouced: eng-KSY-e-tee, stress on “ksy”

> then there's the word "schooner" which unfortunately shows up at multiple occasions. This should sound like “skoo-ner”, with an “oo” like in “too”. You can find it here:
> at 4:12: “on the schooner”
> at 9:55: “the beautiful schooner”
> at 10:10: “the rape and pillage of the schooner”
> at 11:01: “pointing to the schooner”
> at 11:32: “in that schooner are wines”

> at the end: more than 7 seconds silence; can be cut down to standard 5

for Section 20:

> at 0:16: same here, in the intro “The Pirate Woman, by Aylward Edward Dingle”, you forgot “Edward”

> at 2:22: “put their foes to flight” – “foes” rhymes with “shows”

> at 3:25: “like a sword-thrust” – no ‘w’ spoken in “sword” – just “sord”

> at 11:00: “of the white schooner” - the schooner strikes again

That's all. :) If it wasn't for the schooner, it would not have been too much to correct, I'm sorry :( why did they have to attack a schooner an not simply a "ship"

Because a s-k-ooner is way more impressive than a ship ;)
You don't need to be sorry,

  I know where it comes from. I once sang in a choir, wonderful song, "Mary did you know". The director at rehearsal to the choir:" Wonderful, the rhythm is just fine and really well sung. Only one little remark - is it 'Mary didscha (DE-Aussprache) know' or rather "Mary did you know'?" ;)
Kitty wrote: February 9th, 2018, 5:34 am yes, it's definitely one of those books
Oh  ;) I almost suscpected it
Kitty wrote: February 9th, 2018, 5:34 am Maybe none of them
Or maybe with all three of them, for that kind of book. :hmm:

LOL well this is not only DE-Aussprache,. I know some Americans who also say "didsha"
Or maybe with all three of them, for that kind of book. :hmm:
 what did Todd dig out there ? ! Maybe we need to put parental guidance on the cover
Hopefully I don't end up with too many äh, treasures  ;)

I am sure that everything in this book is "as pure as the driven snow". (Guess I really should read it to make doubly sure.) But as for some reader's minds - well, I can't imagine what they are thinking....

Thanks, Todd

The only thing more impressive than a schooner is a 1140ml jug. Presumably the Pirate-Queen has a head as impervious to alcohol as a block of concrete. :D

A schooner of wine?! Make that a block of battle-steel.

And in other beer philosophising, not exactly Descartes, but I think there are times we can all relate: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tiHoBiXc-xs/TakuGFAJvHI/AAAAAAAAAcc/i0yg6SPIdZA/s1600/pub43.jpg :hmm:

Todd, I suspect it is your apparent innocence and need-to-be-rescued that is sending the ladies wild. Sort of the male Marilyn Monroe, as it were.
