Linny,

The contents pages of the book list the sections by composer + title, eg Bizet - Carmen.

In the body of the book, each starts with the opera title only, eg Carmen, without the composer's name.

It would seem sensible to me to include the composer's name + title at the start of each section, spoken as 'Bizet's Carmen', or 'Carmen, by Bizet', but for the sake of consistency, everyone needs to do the same thing. What do you think is best?

Hi Tom,
As part of the introduction please do read the section title that is in the MW. It lists both. If you want to add ‘s to the composers name I am fine with that.

If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
Say:

(Is there any specific guidance on how to read the singy bits, i only ask because i've never done it before.)

Thank you for joining in.

If you would like to sing them feel free. If it were me (and nobody wants to hear me sing) I would read those bits like a poem.

In section 7 you missed editing out a couple of your reading errors/repeats. Other than that these were great. Thank you!

Section 7 – Carmen
8:08 – 8:26 repeat - Don José, though greatly enthralled and a victim to her passionate glances, made a feeble denial of his love, but Carmen laughed derisively, declaring again that he was hers, and inviting him to meet her later
15:37 repeat - Carmen triumphant at the victory she had gained,

Section 17 – Pagliacci
PL OK! Great work!

Be careful with file names. You have an mp3 in the file title. No need to change it, rather something to watch during export.

Thanks for the feedback. I've chopped out the offending sections. I could have sworn...! (and very nearly did)

I'll keep an eye on file names.

I enjoyed the readings, and will press on with Cavalleria Rusticana and La Boheme over the next week.
