Hi Tricia—Finally a (I hope) viable recording of chapter 11 (section 13). I had several times to erase and re-record long sections with crackling which has resulted in a few splices where the timbre of the recording makes a somewhat jarring shift, but I hope this works:

The reading is excellent - but it really needs some noise reduction. Have you done this before? If not...

Go to 3:41 in the recording. There's a fair space with a good sample of the noise. Highlight about 1/2 second or so where you're not speaking.
Go to Effect / Noise Reduction and click the button, "Get noise profile"
Select the entire recording
Go to Effect / Noise Reduction again.
-- My settings are as follows:
- Noise reduction: 14 dB (you can go up to 16 if you like)
- Sensitivity: 4
- Frequency Smoothing: 6

The most important one is the first number.

Click OK.

That should take out the loudest of the noise.

Thanks again for the detailed directions on noise reduction. I had done some before (I think I even did some on part of this section), but I was just guessing on the numbers.
