thank you again, Caroline. Two wonderfully read chapters.

Both PL ok. What I found interesting was that Lilian herself was helping along with the cutting of the final movie. Nowadays, actors would not do that job. Back then they were working with a much smaller crew.

Now I am surprised that Lilian is even writing the scripts of her movies. She really was doing everything that nowadays is spread among many different people.

Sonia, yes I was struck by the varied tasks she did as well. Also the description of filming the death scene reminded me of Meryl Streep in (I think it was) Barfly. Apparently they were worried she'd actually died as well.

ah I didn't know that ! Interesting. I need to read up on that. Yes some actors are really getting into their role. I can understand that feeling though. I have the same when I'm recording drama for LV.

I can't believe the book is practically done! You're all wonderful readers, and no doubt our listeners will enjoy this slice of cinematic history thanks to your talents.

And thank you, of course, to Sonia for her dedicated PLing. I don't know how much more interested she is in this subject, but at least now she can claim to be better versed in the world of silent films.

Wow, the race across America to London and back to Los Angeles in so short a time and with a woman who had a stroke

what an adventure.

Well, Tomas, I definitely know more about silent films now and how much work was involved for the actors and everybody else in the early days. It wasn't big corporations yet, like nowadays, it seemed more like family. In a way it was probably better.

This was an interesting project, and thanks to all the great readers who made my PL job so agreeable.

David, this project can get archived now, as far as I am concerned.
