If 'The Gray Cat' is back on the table I'd be happy to read it so that we can finish out the collection.

Quick question. In this story the narrator writes, "Archbishop M------" a few times in the beginning of the story. It appears as though the author's intent was to make it look like the Archbishop's name was redacted, but in reading it that won't be conveyed. I was thinking of, on the first instance, reading it as, "Archbishop M name omitted" to clue the listener in, and then reading it as "Archbishop M" from there on out. Do you think this would be alright, or should I just stick to "Archbishop M"?

Thanks,
David

Hi david, those are tricky. These blanks appear a lot in books around this period, and different readers read them differently. See this thread viewtopic.php?f=23&t=66648

I personally would say archbishop m. As if this was an initial or something, but if you prefer another option feel free to read it differently :)

Just an update. I've just finished reading Section 11 and should have an edited file for you in a couple of days.
