Spoiler Alert: When you hit the recipes for calf's heads it's just disgusting. Kudos to the housewives of this era.....

Section 41 sounded good with four little things that need attention:

Time: 4:45 "Bake in a moderate oven about an hour" Reading has "about half an hour".

Time: 9:21 "turn out and pour sauce over it, serving hard sauce also with it" Reading gets choppy beginning with "serving".

Time: 10:43 "put a great spoonful Damson" Reading has "good" instead of "great".

Time: :18 "pleasure of eating it imitated the example" Reading has "intimated" instead of "imitated.

No problem.

Lomond,
Do you still have notes to check the time stamp on the last comment? If not, I can find it by searching the text.

Greetings -

Sections 6 and 11 are PL OK.

After the warning, I faced the receipts for calf's heads with some trepidation. The mental image of a calf's head merrily bouncing away in a pot of boiling water is...well..................

I could almost hear a slight hesitation of resignation as you read the name of one of the receipts.

Thank goodness I have some Shaggy Man of Oz to read next. :?

Greetings -

Section 54 has been nicely read and is PL OK.

These receipts brought back memories of what I had for breakfast when I was a young lad. Simple but always welcome breakfast fare in our house was a couple slices of toast soaked in warm milk with sugar, cinnamon, and raisins.

This has been a most interesting project, one that delighted and, at times, contorted the stomach.

Thanks for letting me be a part of it.
