Carolin,

Thanks so much! I think I would like to do:

The spy company; a story of the Mexican war
by Gunter, Archibald Clavering, 1847-1907

How do I get that going? I have never started a solo from the beginning.

Great choice!

To start a solo project, head over to the launch pad. There are several sticky threads (threads that are always at the top of the list) explaining how to get started. You want the one about solos viewtopic.php?f=28&t=13513

Once you read that, follow the link to the project template generator. It is a form that needs to be filled in, and when you hit submit at the end, you will get your first post. Copy paste the code into a newcproject in thevlaunch pad and voila, you are started

Let me know if you need any help :)
