On number 24 Patty and her Pitcher, there are 5 parts to this story. Do I need to put intro and outro on each?

No, the intro goes at the beginning. After that, just say "Part 2, Part 3" -- you don't even need 'end of Part 1".
If a chapter or story covers more than one section, you would need the intro and outro on each. I suppose you could think of it as an intro and outro for each file uploaded.

Got it.

Here you go!!
Thank you. I hadn't made the connection between the url and the time as they were in different posts. Maybe if I were more 'with it' (and not multi-tasking so much)...
You seem quite with it to me! And all is well that ends well!
Hi Lynnet,

I see that I have been assigned section 28 and 35. Should I wait for notes on my first recording or just charge ahead with these sections?

In the magic window for this book, it says to see notes on my initial section 20. However, I don't know how to get there.

Help!

sect 20 STORIES TOLD THE SECOND DAY: The Magic Mask

PL notes:
1-The recording should be in mono sound, not stereo sound.
2-00:23... background noise
3- 03:21 sent his servants(remove) agay...(corrected) away
4- unidentitied sound 03:36
5- 03:40 door?
6- 05:07-11 unidentitied sound
7- 06:30 slight stumble
8- 07:00 slight stumble: you must stay/try
9- 08:25 unidentitied sound
10-08:30 background noise
I am sorry, but this is where I stopped listening.

Your voice is great for recording, but there is too much going on around you. Try to use noise reduction; see if that helps.
It seems like there is some work to do, but never fear. Most recordings are redeemable.

If you are using Audacity (which is recommended as there is the most support here):

1. To convert to mono: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJ-Nq-os2YI

2. Basic editing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9NuSuWYaWg&feature=youtu.be

3. I think Basic Editing covers noise reduction, but if it doesn't: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFSg9o37HMw

Usually there would be no problem with going straight on to other sections before you get feedback, but in this case, I think it would be time saving in the long run if you work on these issues first. Once you have your software set to mono, it should stay that way unless you change it. Stumbles are normal, but we do need to edit them out. It is also a good idea to minimize background noise by adapting your recording environment -- but some noise is almost inevitable, so noise cleaning is a useful skill to learn.

For nearly everyone, there is a steep learning curve when we start out; but once you 'get it', it becomes a very rewarding hobby (and quite addictive) so please persevere. You'll get there

Lynnet,

Hey! Confused. The magic window says my name in front of section 28 and 35. I didn't request any sections but got excited to do them. However when I go to the text link, the names of the story there is completely different than in the magic window!! And the word size is considerably larger!!

Not sure why I am not seeing the correct text.

HELP!!

Hi,

I would like to read section 28 and section 35.

Thanks...
I rechecked the word counts. They are 1224 and 812 words.

Please bear in mind chapter numbers do not always coincide with section numbers. It is best to look at the names when finding them in the index. You use the section numbers in the file name.
