Sure Devorah, I'll use the previous setup itself.
But just tried to make little tweaks. Please see if this is any better.
(I think there's no need to go thru the whole file to see if there's any difference!)

Duration is the same. And you can retain anyone you like.
I'm not sure what you did, but this one has a strange fading in and out effect that I find off-putting. I'll use the first one. But thank you for providing an alternative. :)

Duration is 16:14.
Missing line at about 2:05. Insert, "Goes to a table, finds his keys, and unlocks a case."
At the very end, after End of Act 4, please also insert, "End of If I Had a Father, by George MacDonald."

Thanks again, Raj! You've been great! Just these two edits, and your part is done! :D

Mainly used noise gate to reduce echo/reverb. But I too felt it led to some inconsistency.
Thanks that you are using the first one itself.
Hope you noticed that I used my previous set up for Act 4!

I may need to orphan Constance. :? I really don't want to, as Rachel has been around for a long time and is a good reader. Usually pretty timely, too, but I haven't been able to get in touch with her. She's been logged in to the forum within the last few weeks, but hasn't posted anything since her claim for this role. :(

That's fine, Devorah! Little delays happen some times.
And good that the 4th Act is PL ok.

Oh, I almost forgot that I had recorded my corrections..... But, had a moment to edit them in. Here is corrected Act II

https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/ifihadafather_colonel_2_128kb.mp3

I felt chagrin that I had missed a whole section of dialogue. I know how I missed it -- there seems to be no Entrance for the Colonel in Act II, and he just sort of pops up in an unexpected place, so I just didn't see it.

Anyway, I hope this will make the act complete now. I think I'll get the rest done tonight.

The Colonel is PL ok for act 2. (It does state his entrance, but that's where the formatting goes all funny for a minute, so I'm not surprised you didn't see it.)

So close for act 4! Sounds like there was a copy/paste error. You inserted the following line: "Gently, gently, young man!—If I give your neckcloth a twist now—!" in two places: once where it belongs, and once at about 6:45, where this one belongs: "Yes, miss;—to-morrow, he says."

So this was one of the most challenging roles I've done.  I've never had to tackle such specific dialect for an extended period of time (and I won't deny that I only managed to understand about 80% of what I was saying LOL). I'm afraid this is not going to be down-to-the-letter perfect; however, I don't think I've mucked up any sentences any more than how Bill would've done. :P
