Thanks Joanna! It sounds great! It was very well read, I didn't hear anything in the text that needs correction. There is one change that needs to be made and that is to the volume of the file. I ran the file through the Checker program (https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker) it indicated that the volume is low at 79.3 dB. Our target volume for files is 89 dB and we will accept any volume on +/- 3 dBs on either side of this (86 to 92 dB).musicalmorsels wrote: ↑February 3rd, 2018, 2:53 pm Hello all,

Please bring the volume up into the acceptable range and I will take a listen again. You may download and check your files with the Checker program yourself. Also, if you are using Audacity, you can check the volume within that software by installing the ReplayGain plug-in (https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Measuring_Volume_within_Audacity). Instructions for amplifying volume in Audacity can be found on the LibriVox wiki: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Amplifying.
Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks again!

Thank you very much for your feedback! Here is the new recording that passed the Checker and is at 10:00 in length.

Thank you in advance for checking on anything else.

It passed the Checker for me as well so I think it's PL OK but I just wanted to inquire as to why it's 4 seconds shorter than before? I want to make sure I didn't miss anything in my listening. Thanks for the quick turnaround on your edits.

Thanks for pointing this out Jill - I will try to determine the reason for this.jillebean wrote: ↑January 30th, 2018, 11:28 pm
Chapter 13 is also PL OK although I have a few "mentions" for you, Steve, to help you in future recordings. First, I'm not sure if I'm hearing things or not so maybe a second opinion from someone else (maybe in the Need Help? section of the forum) would be helpful but sometimes in your recordings I've noticed that when you have an intake of breath the sound seems like it's pounding/pulsing.
Jill
Cheers
Steve
Thank you steve

Hi Jill, I actually decided to re-record it so I must have spoken faster!
Best,
