Hey, Silverquil!

I'm happy to say that my 1-minute test got approved! Since you'd mostly reserved the section for me, I went ahead and uploaded a recording for it:

https://librivox.org/uploads/kilteddrag ... _128kb.mp3
Section 13
File duration: 02:55

I look forward to the PL. This is my first "real" recording, so I really wouldn't mind any kind of constructive criticism on style. Thanks, everyone!

Hi Mindle!

Welcome to LibriVox and congrats on your first recording!

This is PL OK. All tech specs are good, your sound is good and while not required for 'Standard PL", it was word perfect with out a single mistake! .... good job you.

I would not normally comment on style, but since you asked for CC on it, I found your reading style very effective for this type of recording. Your inflection was good and your cadence matched the style of the essay. You seem well suited for this type of project! For a poetry project, you might consider slowing your pace down just a tad, but for this it was great.

Look forward to hearing more from you!

Hi Larry,

Section 27 is in the MW. If you could PL it, that would be great!

Thanks!

Excellent!

I've added you to the catalog, so if you click on your name in the MW, it will take you to your personal catalog page.

And, since Nemo has already listened to this, I've put it in the MW as PL OK.
I've also assigned you Section 12 to read.

If you are interested in proof listening, I will be setting up a new project soon and I'll let you know. If it is something you think you would enjoy, you can volunteer.

Thanks, and welcome to Librivox!
You are off to a great start.

Hi NemoR!

Thanks so much for proofing my recording, and I very much appreciate the style feedback and the kind words! I look forward to working with you more in the future.

Silverquil, thanks for getting me all set up in the catalog and for updating the MW with my stuff! I am interested in proof listening, so I look forward to hearing about your new project. I appreciate the welcome!

Also, in case you missed it, I think Bobbin requested to claim sections 8 and 9 here: viewtopic.php?p=1422299#p1422299

Thanks again!

Oops, I did miss this.

Before I can assign these to you, I need to know how you would like to be listed in the Librivox catalog. Many of us use our real names, but you can use a pseudonym if you like. This is how you will be credited in the project listings when they are published. You can go ahead and start recording, but do let me know.

Thanks for coming on board, and welcome to LibriVox!
