Mindle, man you are on a roll!

I am going to mark this PL OK. It was another great recording, however the volume was close to (but not over) our upper limit of 92 dbs for the entire file. The middle of the section (like between 1:36 - 2:02) was actually more like 94 dbs.

Just something to watch out for in future recordings.

Thanks!

I'm very excited about getting into this whole audio book recording thing, so I'm afraid I'm stealing off to record whenever I get the chance! ;)

Thanks for the note about the volume! I'll definitely watch that in the future. Do you think it would be beneficial for me to jump into Audacity, knock the volume down a notch and reupload? I'd be happy to do that if you think it'd be worth it.

Thanks for the PL!

Oops, I did miss this.

Before I can assign these to you, I need to know how you would like to be listed in the Librivox catalog. Many of us use our real names, but you can use a pseudonym if you like. This is how you will be credited in the project listings when they are published. You can go ahead and start recording, but do let me know.

Thanks for coming on board, and welcome to LibriVox!
Thanks for letting me know - would it be possible to change my decision later on?

Edit: Also, I would like to claim sections 18, 20 and 28, if it's OK. :)

I reduced it by 3 and it does sound better to the ear, so if you don't mind, that would be great!

Let me know when you upload again, and I'll give it another listen.

I think you can change your catalog name later, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't affect projects already completed, so you would actually have to different catalog pages. Maybe our admin has an answer to this question. Barry?

But, I do need something to get you into the system with in order to assign the sections.

OK, in this case, I would like to be listed as "Adir S.", if possible.

Great. I've assigned the following sections to you: 8,9,18,20,28

If you click on your name in the Magic Window, you will be taken to your personal LV catalog page. Here you will see all of your projects.

If you have any questions, let me know. I'm looking forward to hearing your first recording!

Welcome to LibriVox

Hi Nemo!

I'm happy to! In fact, here's the file, reduced by 3.3, I believe: https://librivox.org/uploads/kilteddrag ... _128kb.mp3
Section 24
File Duration: 03:38

Let me know how that sounds. I got ReplayGain and learned how to use it, so I should be on top of this going forward. I appreciate you guiding me! Please continue to give me feedback like this! It's what I'm looking for.
