Thanks for your feedback. I have a new headset which I am trying to get used to. I do not like it as much as my old one however they are out of stock on my old one and as I stepped on my old one and broke the mic it is not working very well! I am trying really hard to find the optimum position for recording with this new headset that does not involve breathing. This one although more expensive does not seem to do as good a job of noise reduction as my previous cheaper one did.

Regarding the breath noises, if you hold your hand in front of your mouth while you are speaking you can feel where the air goes and that will give you an idea about mic placement. I've read that some people actually place the mic below their lower lip--I guess it is a pretty individual thing. I'm sure you'll find the optimum placement before long.
