Robert's part is entirely recorded, except for the song in chapter 7. I'll wait till we've come to an agreement on how to handle that. It may be a week or so before it's ready for PL, though.

Well, since you have found some resources, let's give it a go! Let's try for a sung version!

(It only affects the three of us, so worst case, we can always revert to reading as poetry if it doesn't pan out!)

Sounds great. I should be able to upload parts for SAT in the next day or so. Or actually, I guess just ST, since I've got alto.

Thanks Rachel! All the Jane files are PL OK! Very nice crying and whining through all the adventures!

Hope to see you around on some other projects! :9:

The Babylonian Queen is all PL OK! Very exotic and dignified! I particularly liked the delivery of her line: 'How else can a queen dress I should like to know?' :9:

I know Chapter 1 of the Psammead has already been PLed, but I wasn't happy with the voice I did so I've started again. I have compared my two versions to see if I missed anything this time, but I suppose a repeat PL will be necessary, so sorry about that.

Here also are chapters 2 and 3.

As I am travelling rather a lot in the next 6 weeks, I might not be able to do much more until February. But I'll continue whenever I have time (and when my throat has recovered from this silly Psammead voice I insist on doing).

Ok, here are the parts for Sop and Ten. I've given you a lead-in of seven beats before the song begins, and again seven beats between verses. Please note that the rhythm changes slightly on the third line between the first and second verses. ("Her mother keeps the key"/"And there was none to see"). Again, sheet music can be downloaded from here. If we each sing our bit while listening to the tracks I've made with headphones, we should be able to keep together.

EDIT: Also please note that while the lyrics given in the book are "neither bolt nor bar," the lyrics on the sheet music are "neither door nor bolt," so we should follow the book on that one, I'm thinking. Also, I'm thinking we'll want "nye-ther" not "nee-ther." I'll go ahead and record my part now, and if I need to make a change, I can do that.

5 and 6:

I had to go look up "The British Grenadiers" for chapter 6. There was also a teasing little rhyme that it says Robert "sang" at Jane. I recorded a spoken version as well as a little-kids-on-the-playground sing-songy kind of version. Let me know which one you'd like me to use.

I should be able to PL some of these tomorrow night! I had a listen to the recording for the soprano line - thanks for making it all so clear! I should be able to manage that.

I'm so glad you are reading/singing Robert! I had not remembered how much singing there is for Robert in this book!

I like the sung version of the teasing rhyme, so I've put a note to that effect on the file in the MW. Robert chapters 1-6 are all PL OK!
