Hi - here's my contribution. Another poem by Edward Capern, and although it's seasonal, rather a sombre one:

"Christmas Tears", by Edward Capern (1819-1894)

Text Source: https://archive.org/stream/poems01capeg ... 0/mode/1up

Length: 3:18

MP3: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelin ... _128kb.mp3

Thanks a lot, and a Merry Christmas!

Hi Rapunzelina,

Thank you for your suggestion about the white noise, I will keep tabs on that, and my loud breathing (gasping) between sentences. :D

Helen, I personally didn't notice any loud breathing or gasping; apparently I don't mind those at all

Thank you, Garth! I hadn't read Capern before your contributions here, and I was really impressed by his writing. And your reading complements it very well! So, thank you for that, and
Merry Christmas!

And again TYIA for any suggestions or corrections. :D

Thank you, Helen, for yet another lovely recording!

For the Noise Reduction, first select (highlight with your mouse) a short selection of background noise only (no speech) in your recording, maybe from the last 5 seconds, then click Effect | Noise Removal and Get Noise Profile. (This will collect the information of what kind of noise to reduce)

Then, select the whole recording (Ctrl+A), click Effect | Noise Removal again. I use the following settings for my setup:

Noise reduction: 10 dB
Sensitivity: 3.00
Frequency smoothing bands: 1

Here is a more detailed guide: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Nois ... from_2.1.0
and a little more information about the settings: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Nois ... r_versions

Merry Christmas, Helen!

This is your catalogue page: https://librivox.org/reader/11955
You can also access in through your username-link in any Magic Window.

You'll notice the "Reader section details" link below your name there. If you click it, it shows the status of your claimed sections (assigned/ready for pl/pl ok/etc), and on the second tab "PL view", the status of the projects you are DPLing.

Thank you, Helen! A very happy and healthy new year to you, too!

And thank you for your recording! I only changed the filename to make it all lower-case, and the Magic Window is updated!

Ty, I apologize, you have enough work without me giving you extra. The more new I learn, the more I forget. :(
