Thanks Pam. PL OK.

You are such a fluent reader, it's as easy to follow as it could be. I just wish I'd be able to remember it.

That is such a kind thing of you to say, Barbara!
And yes, for me, too, at my age especially, remembering what I learn is problematic.

Thanks!

And so we say farewell to the Byzantines...

6:47 a repeat of "and it is not improbable"

17:56 missing words "as regent for their little son"

PL OK, Pam. I hope Charles the Great settles down for a bit, stays in one place. I can't keep up with all this gadding about Europe.

Thank you, Barbara!
He's going to keep moving around conquering and subduing, I fear.

My best,

Pam
And it's PL OK!

I mentioned some time back that I'd begun reading a history of Constantinople on my Kindle (I'm up to Belisarius's defeat of the Persians). Proof listening your Masterman has been a big help. I must have absorbed more than I thought because I could tell my Goths from my Vandals!

Great, Barbara, glad to be of help with the Mandarin complexity of the Byzantines.
Thanks!
