Hello, Philip! Quite a different story that the previous ones!
It's PL OK!

Don't worry about any authors that can't be added. I'll fill in the blanks at cataloguing.

Just a short offering from me. This Hardy poem relates to English West Country folklore which says that, on Christmas Eve, the oxen kneel in their pens to re-enact the nativity.

* Link to your recording, as shown on the Uploader - https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelin ... _128kb.mp3
* Link to the text source - https://www.poets.org/poetsorg/poem/oxen
* Language in which the story/poem is written - English
* Author's/translator's (and composer's) name, birth and death dates - Thomas Hardy (1840 -1928)
* Title of the story/poem - The Oxen
* Duration (runtime) of the file in mm:ss - 1:12

Hope that's OK.
Thanks,
-Ian

Hi Folks,

This is my first contribution to a Christmas collection in a while, but I ran across this little story while shopping for children's books and thought it would make a good LibriVox read. Hope you agree.

Ok...here is one in Spanish. I'm told by friends in Central America that this is not "strictly" a Christmas poem, but it is frequently read at this time of year.

Many thanks, Rapunzelina! (I hope they're merciful). :)

Just a quick note....I have been unable to enter author's names for sections 17 (Geoffrey Smith), 20 (James Hain Friswell, 1825-1878), and 21 (Octavian Goga 1881-1938). The others are all ok.

I hope that everyone who wanted to will have time to contribute to this collection.
