Jarvis act 5

Basically Jarvis is just a rather sad old man (there are some days when I know how he feels)

I agree, Jarvis is sad, but in this story, none of the people are truly happy, not even the villains. However the character is absolutely well portrayed by you. No errors in the final act either. Thanks so much Alan. This is PL ok.alanmapstone wrote:Jarvis act 5

The first three acts for Stukely have now been uploaded for PL!
EDIT: Uploaded the last two acts. Enjoy my growly rapscallion performance, Sonia!

I am so sorry I didn't PL this yesterday. I opened the project to check the last post quite late at night. In the morning I completely forgot you had posted and since it was already opened, I didn't get a notification. My mistake. Will PL today and looking forward to itWiltedScribe wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2018, 11:50 am The first three acts for Stukely have now been uploaded for PL!

wonderful performance, Tomas I just binge-listened to all the acts in a row. Perfect how you made subtle nuances in Stukley's voice, depending on who you talk with. The hypocrisy is literally dripping with Mrs Beverley in the beginning. I much like him when he is showing his more evil face. And my absolute favourite sentence was "You think I fear you." Yes, it may be a short sentence, but there was such underlying menace in these few words, really great.
All 5 Acts flawless and PL ok. Well done !

Thank you, Sonia!
We have two roles left to finish. Hopefully we can start putting the finishing touches on this before the month is out.

If we do meet again, why, we shall smile;
If not, why then, this parting was well made.

My pleasure.
And sorry, Sonia, two more were closer than they looked. Well, you'll be the judge of that.

no need to apologize. Charlotte is wonderfully played I love the character you give her. In the first act, she shows so much feeling and tenderness towards Mrs Beverley, but one notices her fire already. In the second act, she is totally different towards Beverley, and really shows his contempt for him. Then in the third act there is the softer side again, with Lewson. Very very complex character.bluechien wrote:My pleasure.

Act 2 is already PL ok.
A few notes for Act 1:
> at about 3:04: missing sentence: “Nor last night?”
> at about 3:20: missing sentence: “I'll go, sister—But don't be alarmed so.”
> at 5:02-5:05: “How know him? Mere doubt and supposition!” no need to leave so much space, as it’s the same speaking chunk
One note for Act 3:
> at 3:55-5:34: for some reason, the opening lines in scene 3 only start here. Could you please put them all at the beginning, to make the assembling easier later on ?
Thanks
Sonia
Thank you so much, Sonia. This is getting closer now!
Yeah, Charlotte can be a bit acerbic at times, to balance out her tenderness. ("is it so horrible if an old man dies?") She probably spends plenty of time keeping bad guys away from her sister.
Corrected Acts 1 and 3 for spot PL:

oh yes, I completely forgot to comment on this. I already heard the reactions of other characters in this play to the death of this guy....everybody seems to be happy to get to the money. I found it quite indecent the way they are panting for this poor old man's death.bluechien wrote:("is it so horrible if an old man dies?")
Thanks for the corrections and final acts ! I will PL them tomorrow morning. Won't have too much LV time for tonight anymore...
Sonia
thank you Eva, Act 1 is now PL ok.bluechien wrote: This is fixed!
Tomas: that means Act 1 is ready to be assembled
As for Act 3, sorry, my mistake, I overlooked one sentence that you missed the first time round:
> at about 1:41: beginning of scene 4 it's still Charlotte speaking: "We were just speaking of you."
sorry for not catching it immediately.
