Thanks to Tovarisch for his help. Not sure I was able to chuckle in Russian though.
I am going to be out of commission from next Sunday on and unable to record for a while. It would be great to get a PL fairly quickly so I can make any necessary corrections before then.

If nobody else has claimed it yet, I'll take 11 "On the Road".

PL Note For:
sect 11 On the Road Continue
*At the end of the section, I need:
"End of sect 11"
Everything else was incredible.

Thanks, Helen. We've been through this, haven't we? Check the thread back to about Nov 20.HZFerr wrote:PL Note For:

Here is the gist: The first post says <<END of recording At the end of the section, say: "End of [Chapter]">> Not, "End of Section [number]". That's why I put the title there. Also, back then Lynne said:

Hmm, that is funny - when it says "End of [Chapter]" I just say End of Chapter [8] (if that is the Chapter number). I do not repeat the title - to each his own I guess!tovarisch wrote:Thanks, Helen. We've been through this, haven't we? Check the thread back to about Nov 20.HZFerr wrote:PL Note For:

Typically, it is up to the Book Coordinator what the exact wording of the intro/outro should be, which is why it is important to read the first post Not everyone is as easy-going as me on thisLmnei wrote:Hmm, that is funny - when it says "End of [Chapter]" I just say End of Chapter [8] (if that is the Chapter number). Spot PL OK
Hi Lynne,
In this case, it did not say "End" of anything; it just stopped dead. Even though this is standard, I had to check if any part of the text was missing.
I would have accepted "End" of anything, (I used that example to express the need for an end, not to be left hanging) we already discussed about not being fussy.

Helen, I appreciate your being so thorough, I do. However, just to clear my name, this file (which is the first uploaded "On the Road"): https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/cho ... _45_47.mp3 has the phrase "End of On the Road" at precisely 51:34.3. I checked by downloading it and importing it into Audacity.HZFerr (emphasis mine) wrote:sect 11 On the Road Continue

OK, for section 11:
There are two versions on the server.
The older one (the one with the date stamp, which Tovarisch refers to) apparently has an proper ending,
However, this version was replaced with a newer version (with the edits, presumably). The link in the MW takes you to this newer version, which does not have a date stamp (that will get added if a 3rd version is uploaded). This is the version Helen listened to and says has no 'ending'.
It seems that when Tovarisch uploaded the 2nd version, the ending was cut off (this may have been human error, or system error... it does that sometimes, although rarely; that is why we ask for the file length, so we can see if what a reader uploads is what we receive)
So, Tovarisch, could you please upload one more time, after checking it does, in fact, have the ending. Thank you.
