Lynnet asked me to post "Hans in Luck" here from the Tales of Laughter by Smith and Wiggin where it was double recorded by myself as it was orphaned and the originally assigned reader.

I just realized after I uploaded it I need to change the intro and closing! I will do that and then re-upload it - sorry about that - I did rename the file so I was half way there :)

Is there anything else I need to do while I am re-recording the intro and closing?

Hi Lynda,

Thank you, however Lynne informed me that she was going to use your files in the original project after all, so we can't duplicate it here! :D

Correct - you should be receiving the Hans In Luck from another person who was the original person to record it but missed the deadline to submit the recording to the book.

Sorry for the confusion - Lynne changed her mind on whose recording she was going to keep :)

Hi Maria!

Lynne suggested I post my version of Hans in Luck here:

https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/csw025_hansinluck_tjb_128kb.mp3

I wasn't sure about the Intro and Ending.

I say:

"Hans In Luck" from "Tales of Laughter" by Kate Douglas Wiggin and Nora Archibald Smith.

At the end I say:
End of "Hans In Luck" by Kate Douglas Wiggin and Nora Archibald Smith.

Please let me know if everything is okay or if you want me to make any changes.

Thanks!
TJ

Thank you, Helen! My apologies for not replying sooner.

The first one is PL OK!
The second one is a tad on the quiet side. If you could amplify it a little bit that would be great. Probably around 2 DB should be good. :-)

The only thing I would suggest for future recordings is to watch out for the spikes in volume / try to get your volume on a more consistent level. i.e the quite spots a little louder, and the spikes a little quieter. That way when it needs to be amplified you won't run into clipping issues. The more you record, the easier it will get! It might be as easy as where you are in relation to to your microphone.

You are a lovely reader ~ keep up the good work!
