sect 15 Popular Burlesque
I checked the MW and the Posted link,
it still does not have the extra 5 seconds of silence at the end.

Pl notes for:
sect 19 The Unread
**MW has sect 16 posted in the sect 19 place.
(I used the link posted in the thread for PL)
Once again, can you reduce the background noise?
Everything else is great.

I am confused. Which of my two recordings has an issue with background noise?
Also, I just re-listened to both sections uploaded and don’t hear any unusual background noise. It would help if you could point me to a spot or spots in the recording where you heard the noise and then I could reloaded to that part and go to that part in the raw file. I did already try to edit out or reduce unnatural spikes in the silences.

My apologies for the mix-up on the files. I have them corrected now.
I thought I'd take a listen to the first section. There is the steady background hum throughout. It is a toss up as to whether it is excessive, but it is noticeable. I just routinely run noise reduction on my files because I use a USB mike that picks up the fan even if it is not real close. It is easy, so I usually do it. So, I'll just leave it up to you. I'd get the noise sample from the beginning using one of the gaps there.
The wave form looks very flattened, but sounds good enough to my ear.

Sorry, Helen. Let's leave it with PL Notes for now. If he doesn't want to run noise reduction, I can do it later.HZFerr wrote: Now I am confused.
Do you want to OK sect 16 & 19 without the background noise reduction?

Sorry it has taken me a few days to get back to this...
I ran noise reduction on both my sections, hopefully it's better now. If not let me know and I'll try some more! Sounds better to me.

I've put these in the MW Ready for PL
(You didn't give me the file length for the first two, but I've added it).
Hi again!
Would it be possible to change how my name appears in the database? Sorry for requesting this a bit late. I have decided that I would like my name to appear as Lillis Joy (with a space) rather than one word. Hope that's not too much of a hassle.
Thanks!
Lillis
