Shasta,
I'm very confused and trying not to be offended. Why would you need space between your submissions and mine? Have I done something wrong? Have I offended you? If that is the case, then I'm terribly sorry.
But can you tell me what matters if there be empty chapters between your submissions and mine? It's a figurative space, so what is the meaning?
Those chapters are unclaimed now, but I'll probably end up doing them unless you want to claim more; so what is the purpose of "space"? How does that help you?
Respectfully,
Sylvia

Chapters 48, 49 and 50 are yours! Thanks Shasta!
(Yes, I put them in this time! I made sure! )

Sylvia,
No need for you to worry about my comment about "space." As I now know, you noticed that Ann mistakenly gave you 31, 32 and 33 although I had previously claimed them and you graciously offered to relinquish them to me (I never read your August 18th post until today) My comment about "space" was what I hoped was a good-natured poke at Ann and it had nothing whatever to do with you. I commend you for the vigor with which you are working on this interesting book.

Russ, thank you so much for the explanation. Very kind of you. It can be too easy to misunderstand someone's intentions when communicating only in writing. I'm afraid that was my mistake.
I'm retired and have plenty of time to do this volunteer work. I like picking a book and sticking with it rather than flitting around and doing only a couple chapters in a project. What enjoyment is there in not getting the full gist of the book and its characters by doing only a piddling amount? My problem is that I tend to forget that other people enjoy the Librivox experience differently.
Again, thank you for taking the time to address my rather paranoid concern

A little earlier I uploaded this file with the wrong name, i.e., wildernesshuntress. I hope that doesn't screw things up.
