I'm not sure if this Countess is related to Agnes Sorel - Charles VII's favorite mistress? In this story the Saint-Geran is also an innocent. It's the scheming of her sister-in-law with an evil relative that spurs on the crime!

Also, thanks Patty Marie! I was excited to see Ali Pacha all complete!
