excellent. Captain Ardale put into his proper slot  PL ok.

We can wrap this up by tomorrow if all goes well :9: So exciting. The end phase of a play always gives me a special feeling of accomplishment.

I agree, and I am extremely pleased by the acting in this very crucial third Act where the catastophe really reaches the climax. In this scene with Paula and Ardale, the dialogue is really intense, I can only applaud our two actors here.

And of course, all the others were great too. I still have a sort of horrified affinity for Mabel and Dodo  I liked their characters, even though in real life I probably wouldn't want to mingle with them LOL

Todd, here are a few stage directions I would still cut out, for the purpose of a better flow:

> at 9:59: [Sir George, stupidly] – I think under the circumstances, this narration can be cut out. Alan’s “ullo” is speaking volumes  (no offense, Alan)

> at 19:42: [Aubrey, wearily] – your “oh” is weary enough to convey the feeling ;)

> at 37:10: [in an altered tone] can be cut out for more fluent effect

> at 42:23: [Hugh, blankly] – would cut this as well, for the flow of this particular scene

That's all, I think the rest is superbly assembled

I predict a wrap-up for today still !

That the advertising for Tanqueray is '“Ready to Tanqueray?” followed by a manic laugh' seems so appropriate somehow....

As the person who originally suggested this play I would like to thank everyone for their work in getting it recorded, in particular Todd and Sonia.

I think it is an interesting play with things to say about the social attitudes of the time, particularly towards women, and I hope people enjoyed their involvement in it even though it is less of a 'fun' play than the other Pineros.

I'm being honest with you, when I first read through the script I thought....ehmmm, the farces are more fun. But now that I listen to the outcome, the play is really good. Once more I notice, this is a play that needs to be "listened" to and not only "read". It's our readers who make the characters come to life, give them their quirks and memorable traits and all in all, make this play a success.

How about "Trelawny of the Wells" next? Really good leading female role of an actress for someone.

"Trelawny"? Do we all get to join in a rollicking Cornish chorus? :D
