Where's The Use by Robert F. Murray (1863 - 1894).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/wheres-the-use-by-robert-f-murray/
Robert Fuller Murray was a Victorian poet. Although born in the United States, Murray lived most of his life in the United Kingdom, most notably in St Andrews, Scotland. He wrote two books of poetry and was published occasionally in periodicals. ( Wikipedia)
Each week a poem is chosen to be recorded by as many LibriVox volunteers as possible!
This week's poem can be found here.

Set your recording software to:
Channels: 1 (Mono)
Bit Rate: 128 kbps
Sample Rate: 44100 kHz

Have questions on "how"?
Check LV's Recording Notes thread before recording. If this is your first recording, you'll also find this Newbie Guide to Recording useful.
Begin your reading with the abbreviated LibriVox disclaimer:
No more than 0.5 to 1 second of silence at the beginning of the recording!
Where's The Use by Robert F. Murray, read for LibriVox.org by [your name].
[Add, if you wish, date, your location, and/or your personal url.]
Then read the poem:

Oh, where’s the use of having gifts that can’t be turned to money?
And where’s the use of singing, when there’s no one wants to hear?
It may be one or two will say your songs are sweet as honey,
But where’s the use of honey, when the loaf of bread is dear?

At the end of your reading, leave a space and then say:
End of poem. This recording is in the public domain.

Please leave 5 seconds of silence at the end of your recording.
Save your recording as an mp3 file using the following filename and ID3 tag format:
File name - all in lowercase: wherestheuse_murray_your initials in lowercase_128kb.mp3
(e.g. wherestheuse_murray_klh_128kb.mp3 )

ID3 tags (Version 2.30) ID Tags are completed during Cataloging

*Readers, please check back in a day or so for any feedback regarding your reading..mp3 [/color][/b]

Good morning, David (or perhaps afternoon by now on your end of the continent)-

My bit-

Track length: 0:33

See any of the eclipse? No luck here. Maybe a bit duskier, but clouds and fog prevent any verification of the cause.

Thank you Phil, Lee Ann, Tovarisch and Corey.
There was not much eclipse to see up here, just a bit of dimming.

Thanks for the PL Erin. :D
