[COMPLETE] The Clue by Carolyn Wells
Well, this may have seemed a trifle, but I think it definitely important enough to fix. So I have done so.
After all, there is no "Bob" in this story. Thanks so much for your diligence.
Chapter 22 has been patched and re-uploaded, ready for a spot check.
Thanks!!

Chapter 22 is PL OK!
Yes, I'm sure Fessenden himself wouldn't want anyone calling him Bob, except maybe his mom, who probably used to call him Bobby when he was little.

OK, for Chapter 23 I only found two mispronunciations, and it's fine if you just want to leave them as is, but here they are anyway:
At 2:05 where it says, "...she had determined to stay through Mr. Stone's sojourn there," you pronounced Stone more like "Sone."
At 16:24 where it says, "Though not loquacious...," you pronounced loquacious "lo-KAY-shus" rather than "lo-KWAY-shus."
It's totally up to you if you want to change those two little things.

Sone??? How did I manage to mangle that one?
Thanks for pointing out these 2 blatant errors. They have been fixed up, and 23 has been re-uploaded, ready for a spot check.

Chapter 23 is PL OK!
By the way, that stuff about Slim Jim in this chapter cracked me up!
Woo hoo! Only one more chapter!

Yes, I liked the Slim Jim reference too!
Lo and behold, at last the story comes to an end, and to the surprise of many, the murderer is uncovered.
Chapter 24, being the final, has been posted and is ready for a PL.
Thanks!

Well, THAT'S not who I expected the murderer to be.
The only thing I found was at 10:30 where it says, "...climbing up through the SEEMINGLY small opening in the fireplace." You said UNSEEMINGLY.

Rather a surprise twist, I agree. That's what makes these detective stories so much fun.
As for the error, you are so correct. I patched it up, rather than re-recording it. I think it came out okay. You can let me know what you think.
If it passes, then this project can be checked off as ready for Bev to do her magic!
Thanks so much Holly, it was truly a pleasure working with you, and I hope we can do so again soon!
I have another solo going right now, but I'll probably launch another within a week or so.

The fix is perfect! Chapter 24 is PL OK. BOOK COMPLETE!
I really enjoyed working with you, Roger! I would love to be your DPL for another one of your projects. I'm going to be out of town WITHOUT (!) my laptop November 16 through 20, so if I see your next one before then I'll try to grab it up before I leave. Otherwise I will have to wait till November 21 or later to do any grabbing of projects.
