I love to read, AND my employer matches my volunteer hours with a donation to the Internet Archive, flagged to benefit Librivox.org. How cool is that?

Thanks!
I'll agree with that. I'm struck by how little things have actually changed.

Not sure I would recommend this book to anyone with teenagers. A bit too scary.

 I first read this book about 35 years ago, at which time I remember being very sympathetic towards the girls. Today, my heart goes out to the parents.

32-33PL OK. Finished!

Modern readers may not be entirely pleased with the "happy ending."

Thank you so much! Yes, not a big win for the feminists. But I do like happy endings.

Kate,
Cataloging underway, but I'm having trouble moving the files over to Archive. Seems to be a general issue at Archive (not anything with this particular project). I'll get this wrapped up as soon as things get back to normal on the Archive side.

Thank you, MaryAnn. Especially for handling technical details.
