I'm looking at the book's page and seeing how to clean the background. I'll keep working on that and upload a new link tonight.

thanks, Jo.

Leslie,

A great reading! There are several places throughout the recording where there are gaps of silence of anywhere from 3-5 seconds in length. At first I wasn't going to say anything, but as I kept listening, the gaps felt disruptive to the flow of the story. Here are the times of the gaps that I noticed the most:

02:28-02:31
03:50-03:54
04:09-04:14
04:51-04:55
05:20-05:30
07:37-07:43
09:17-09:21
10:06-10:10
10:39-10:42

Ironically, the gap at the end of the recording isn't long enough. There should be 5 seconds of silence at the end, but there are only 3 seconds.

This page: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Noisecleaning_With_Pics was extremely helpful to me when I first was learning the background noise cleaning process!
