Yes, but I'll have check what is PD.

btw, I jumped the gun with the last message. The files are uploading very slowly, so I'll probably have to try again tomorrow.

The MW still seems to be displaying the old file for Section 1 - the error has not been corrected.

Section 6 is now PL OK.

I have been able to download sections 8 and 10 but got a "failed - no file" message for section 9.

Cheers

there is no 09 but for some reason some of the files were Rugby and others rugby - this messes up the uploading results , the uploader treats them as different files . I've straightened the folder and the MW up and I hope the latest files are those in the MW but please , no more capital letters in file names

Oh, I see. I have been uploading files with a capital 'R', but there is a small 'r' in the MW. Sorry about that!

09 has just been uploaded (after 5 failed attempts!). If 01 & 06 are PL OK, then they must be the right versions and there is only one version of 8, 9 & 10, so everything should be okay now.

There are photographs here -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1907%E2%80%9308_New_Zealand_rugby_tour_of_Australia_and_Great_Britain
and here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J_J_Giltinan

But most of them are quite small. I have a few more in non-PD book that I could scan, but I imagine that would mean they are not PD?

I just attempted to download Section 9, and received the following message:
The requested URL /annise/rugbyleague_09_smh.mp3 was not found on this server.

I can only imagine there was a gremlin in that file. I have recreated it, uploaded again and checked that it plays from the MW. It seems to be okay. Apologies for being so troublesome!

PL notes for Section 8:

Intro:
I heard "Part 9" - should be "Part 8"

Reading ends rather abruptly. Is there any text missing?

Missing line at end:
"End of Section."

PL notes for Part 10:

Part 10
2:50
than would have been possible
Sentence read twice

17:12
After "twenty-two to ten" it sounds as though some words were cut off.
17:18
After "Scott again scoring" it sounds as though some words were cut off

Chapters 8 and 10 corrected and uploaded. I feel like my pronunciation of Woollahra with a short -a- rather than long is based on what I have heard here, but let me check with someone who lives around that area (far too posh for me!)

Chapter 8 - I think I must have been hallucinating when I did the last lot of uploads, but the version I have on my disc does have 'Part 8' at the beginning and end, and it ends correctly with a list of players who have gone from union to league. Perhaps the one you heard had something missing. I have uploaded the correct file now.

Chapter 10 - there was no missing text, just some messy editing which I have fixed up.

Sections 8 and 10 are now PL OK.

Woollahra - isn't that where Malcolm Turnbull (the well-known merchant banker) lives?

Wollaahra it is - I stand corrected. Part 9 re-uploaded, which means we should be ready to catalogue.

Anne, Did you find something for the cover?
