The Mysteries of Paris Volume 4 by Eugène Sue by Eugene Sue (1804 - 1857).

This project is now complete and can be found in our catalog here: https://librivox.org/the-mysteries-of-paris-vol-4-by-eugene-sue/
Rodolphe, who is really the Grand Duke of Gerolstein (a fictional kingdom of Germany) but is disguised as a Parisian worker. He can speak in argot, is extremely strong and a good fighter. However he shows great compassion for the lower classes, good judgment, and has a brilliant mind. He is at ease in all layers of society and so is able to understand their problems, and how the different social classes are linked. ( Michele Eaton)
  1. Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/33803
  2. Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

MamaGeek - we need the whole resulting code, not just the project code. It sets up the entire first post with all the instructions.

If you don't still have that screen or the information saved, I'm afraid you'll have to fill in the template again. You can edit your first post in this thread and put everything in it.

MaryAnn

I was wondering since I've already invested quite a bit of time on this series is it possible for me to claim Volumes 5 and 6 now so I can eventually complete the series? I'm now curious to see where all the characters end up. ? I work pretty fast as you know.?

Thanks, Céline

Yes, you are zipping right along.

I'm happy to work on them for you. If you want to go ahead and set them up, just put my initials in subject line when you post on the launch pad so folks know that I am going to MC them with you.

Added Jim as DPL. Moving to "going solo".

I'll get the other two set up later on tonight (or maybe tomorrow, I had an early start today and am tired . . .)

Hi Jim!
Just uploaded 3 more sections. I can`t remember ever recording so many different voices in one book. :):) The characters popping up are non-ending!!!!!!
Fun to do though.
Cheers!

And that includes a whole family of monsters! You do a wonderful job with the voices as I have said before. And yes it is fascinating and enjoyable and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen next. All are PLOK. Jim
