I'll change it, thanks for listening.

What do you mean with "The accurate description of the tsunami brought back memories." Did you experience a tsunami first hand?

Ava:
I would love to read section 2 (and probably a few other sections). The catch is that I won't be around much in November. I might be able to get section 2 done this week, otherwise not until early December. If this works for you then please put me down for ir. Otherwise I'll check back later to see what's left.

Thank you!

Well, there is a 2 month deadline on recording usually, and this project isn't that fast a mover, so I've given you this section. It's a small one too, so you might just be able to do it quickly after all.

Welcome to the project

Ah, no, nothing like that. I meant it brought back memories of the Touhoku earthquake, the images of which destruction I watched from across the ocean. I was particularly struck by the story's depiction of the receding ocean.

I'll get to prooflistening Section 2 right now.

I'm very glad it wasn't first hand experience! I was also shocked by the images - I have friends at Sendai University. Thank goodness they were at a conference in Kyoto at this very day, so they were safe. However, one of my friends' cars that was parked at Sendai airport got washed away by the tsunami, never to be seen again. She had to buy a new one - with her own money. I guess there's no insurance that would cover something like that...

Oh, I fixed Chapter/Section 1.

I'll take both parts of Nirvana, that's 11 and 12. I do have a couple of style questions though. What is the appropriate way to read an attribution? For example
"Grass, trees, earth,— all these shall become Buddha." — Chu-in-kyo."
Would it be appropriate to say "Quote: Grass, trees, earth,— all these shall become Buddha By: Chu-in-kyo" for the sake of clarity? Also, how would one properly denote numbered foot-notes?
I welcome any constructive criticism!

Oops, sorry Dan, I missed this until now. You're in for 11 and 12.

As for your questions:

- footnotes only if you find them really, really interesting. Footnotes that are simply Bibliography are not much point I think since that exact same book will probably not be available anymore these days. Don't worry about the numbers, they are not needed. Please read as follows:

...main text.... FOOTNOTE ...text of footnote... END FOOTNOTE ...main text...

- as for the attribution you mention, personally, I don't say "by", just leave a tiny little pause before the name (length of the "by") You can handle this as you want in this project, I'm not fussy about this.

Have fun!

Hello!

I would like to claim Chapter 13

"the rebirth of Katsugoro"

Let me know if that's ok.

Thanks!

It's yours, thank you!

There's a pronunciation guide for the Japanese names above the MW

Thank you!

Already I can see that there's an issue with the filename: I need a lower case .mp3 at the very end. And it should be gleaningsin, yours is gleaningins ...
Don't bother changing this now, let's wait for your PL notes. If there's nothing else to change, I'll fix the filename at the server.

But it's good to know for any future files, just to make sure
