Volume is a tad low (83.9dB). Due to clipping issues you will need to use Effect/Compressor (if you are using Audacity) to remove the peaks in the audio waveform so that you can amplify the file. Your files for this book are all below 89dB so anything above 86dB is fine.

The volume range in this chapter is the same as in every other chapter. The loud parts are just as loud, and the soft parts are no softer. It's just that this chapter happens to include more soft parts and few loud parts. And that's just because it's such a short chapter. The whole thing is a single scene, so there's less variation in expression than most chapters.

Try listening to the end of the previous chapter, followed immediately by the start of this chapter. Or even better, compare the beginnings of both chapters. You'll find they sound the same. If I were to amplify this chapter, it would sound like there was a sudden jump in volume.

I agree with your two points. The end of 10 and the beginning of 11 are nearly identical sounding and the average dB is lowered by a long "soft part" after 4m.
