Section 47 is almost PL OK! Nicely read, Shana  The only thing that needs fixing is the volume. It is a little bit high. Please amplify the recording by -4 and save it as wondergarden_047_olcott_128kb.mp3 :)

Then upload again and post in the thread. Thank you!

Section 125 sounds great, Angi!

Please amplify the recording a little, just by as much as Audacity lets you without allowing clipping :) It is a little bit soft at 86dB. Thanks!

TJ, you do a wonderful job in sections 28, 30 and 50  I wish my first recordings sounded equally smooth!

There are two things to fix in each recording (the same two things in each):
- the volume is a little bit high, around 92 dB. Please amplify by -3.
- at the end of the recording, after you say "End of section #. Recording by TJ Burns," there should be about 5 seconds of silence. All three recordings have closer to 2 seconds. You can select and copy the end silence, and paste it in at the end -- that should do the trick.

Save the recordings with the same file names, upload again and post in the thread. Thank you!

Sections 31 and 32 both sound great! You are doing really well, Denise :9:

There are a couple of things to fix in both recordings:
- the volume is a bit soft in both recordings. Please amplify section 31 by 13 dB and section 32 by 5. If you use Audacity and would like some guidance for how to do it, please let me know! It is possible that section 31 would benefit from some noise cleaning -- there is a little background hum in it now, and after amplifying, it will be more pronounced. But how about you do the amplification first, and then we can have another look!
- At the end of the recording (after you say "End of section #") there needs to be five seconds of (room) silence. You can just record a few seconds in a new window and paste it into the recordings :D

Then, save the recordings with the same file names, upload and post again in this thread. I'm looking forward to hearing you again!

Katherine,

I amplified Section 125 to 89.3dB, there isn't any clipping on my end, but let me know if you have any and I will adjust some more. If there is a file in the uploader labeled 125_abolcott-please disregard, that was a working copy I uploaded in error. :?

Thanks,
Angi

Yes, absolutely! Section 70 is all yours  What name would you like to use in the catalog? It can be your forum name, your real name (or pretty much anything else). (You will be searchable on both your forum name and your catalog name in the Librivox catalog)
