Welcome! Yes, you may have section 90. Please do a 1 minute test first and post it in the Listeners and Editors Wanted forum -- it is not an audition, just a check to make sure that technical settings are correct. Then come back here and record section 90.

PL notes for section 129:
The bit rate needs to be 128 kbps. You fix this when you export the recording.
00:00 - Please shorten the start silence so there is 0.5-1 second of silence (but not more than 1 second)
The volume is a little bit high, so it would be great if you could amplify by -4. Please let me know if you would like more detailed instructions

Please save with the same file name and upload again. You are doing great!

OK, here is section 90. I had some background humming and tried to clean it up a but but look forward to your feedback.
If it goes ok I'll take the last couple of sections.

Thank you so much for your recording! I just listened, beautifully read!

There is only one thing that needs fixing, and that is the volume. Right now it is too soft (about 70 dB). We are aiming for 89dB. Do you know how to amplify? Are you using Audacity? (if so, I should be able to explain if you'd like instructions). You will need to amplify and compress (compressing "squashed" the highest/lowest blue squiggles so that we can amplify more without what we call clipping)(clipping=bad). It is normally not ideal to amplify by so much, but I just tested it in your recording, and I think we'll get a good result. Please have a go or ask for directions, then save with this filename wondergarden_090_olcott_128kb.mp3 and upload again.

If you would like the remaining sections, please let me know. You sort of "pre-claimed" them first

Oh no, go for it! Kathrine says you read beautifully. I actually have other claims I should be working on for Abraham Lincoln: A History -- I just volunteered for those two because I thought we needed somebody to finish up the project. Please be my guest: this is a fun text, and I already had several helpings of it!
