I hope everything is OK with this recording.

Hi Don,

Here are your notes:

0:04: I'm not sure how strict the rules are, but I believe you need to say 'Librivox dot org' rather than just 'Librivox'
1:19: The ending silence isn't quite long enough. You should aim for 5 seconds, while you've got about 4.2

159 and 161 are PL OK.

As for 119:

The volume is too low. You should be aiming for 89 dB, and you're at 85.9
2:16: The ending silence is too long. You should be aiming for 5 seconds, and you've got 6.2

The further sky, the greater length; The more the storm, the more the strength.

Hi Alec,

Here are your notes:

Volume is too low. You're at 81.8 dB, and you should be at about 89. I'd amplify as much as it lets you without clipping (about 6.6)

There is a noticeable amount of background noise. You should look up how to do noise reduction.

0:00: Opening silence is too long. It should be no longer than 1 second, and you've got more than 2 seconds.

Hi Sarah,

As this is your first recording, we need to know 'under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog'. Your catalog name can be your real name or anything. A lot of us use our real names so our friends can find us but it is up to you. Ask if anything is confusing.

Hi h2v2h,

I think something's gone wrong here. Your recording is very quiet. It should be about 89 dB, and yours is 64. Unless this is a problem with the output, and you still have the higher volume original, I think you might have to re-record this at a higher recording volume...

You could try amplifying it, but the problem with amplifying something this quiet is like trying to increase the size of a low resolution picture; it can't add back in missing information.

I don't have a website yet :-) maybe someday. My real name will do fine - Sarah Jump

So, is that a go on this poem?

Sarah
