I'll leave it to you if you think it's enough of a change to need correcting.

Oh, and I'm sure you know, but 'niggard' has nothing to do with the word you think it does, and actually means 'miser'.

I fixed it and reuploaded.

I did look up the word as I had never used it before, and found all of the controversies surrounding it. People need to read a dictionary once in a while instead of just getting offended all over the place.

Michele

Family matters means I will be away for a while and will catch up on my return.

Hi Michele,

You don't need to include the 'John Kendrick Bangs, From "Songs of Cheer"' at the end, but you do need to add in 'End of poem'.

Hi Kathleen,

As it says in the first post:
NOTE for readers: each poem has a short introductory message, please read this and then follow with the poem itself. do not read any attribution, such as where the poem came from, e.g. 'from the book Down the Road'
I'm taking that to mean you don't need to read the author or the attribution.

I've been saying:

'Solitude by Ella Wheeler Wilcox' or similar, and nobody has told me not to.

I think I've been a bit confusing. You do need it at the start, but not at the end.

Ah, got it. Yes, I was giving the name of the poet at the beginning, but not at the end (where the text has it.)

OK. I read introduction then poem. At very end in book of the poem it states author then the book Various took their poem from like "from poems of power", or From Picked Poems. So I will leave that out and stick to script. Most just state author of that poem and not the book Various complied from.
