I would like to read #19 - The Fisherman and His Wife, if it is still unassigned.

Thanks.

sure I can assign you to it, thanks a lot :)

And Greg, thanks for your contributions, I'll put them in the MW. Sorry guys, I'm a bit behind all my PL jobs right now, but life was a bit hectic today. I promise to do them as soon as I can.

so I finally got around to listening to the entire story. :) A bit of a doubtful moral at the end I find, whoever tricks best is the winner.

But you narrated it nicely and fluently, so no complaints there. Only one small note:

> at 1:37: "He still waited a long while until evening came on" - you forgot to cut out "time" here, as I mentioned already before. Maybe it's easier to cut out the word "while", and since "a long while" and "a long time" are basically the same, we can perfectly admit that text.

> oh also something: the volume is slightly under our minimal limit of 86 dB. (yours is 85.9) Could you maybe amplify it at least a bit, by 2 dB, for example ? Then simply re-upload with the same file-name and you're good to go.

The rest is flawless :) Thanks, looking forward to the next story

here is #2 of 007 The Good Bargain with "time" deleted and I tried to increase volume and now it is probably too loud.

oh you did not have to resend it though. The upload passed correctly, as I had the correct minutes at my end.
By the way: Story 3 Our Lady Child is very much about the voice of the Virgin Mary and the little girl and queen so maybe it should have a female voice. Your choice I am OK either way But a female voice might sound better.
it's as you wish, if you want to read it, go ahead. I think in storytelling gender doesn't matter. There are loads of female voices to impersonate all the diverse kings, ogres and brothers, so why shouldn't our male readers have a bit of fun with princesses, witches or, in your case, the Virgin Mary. :)

hey, Chelsea, finally listened to your first contribution. You have such a sweet voice really fitting for the story of Briar-Rose :9: Also your narration is flawless and easy to listen to. Couldn't find any textual faults, beautifully read.

Now I feel a bit bad for telling you about 3 little things to amend before this is all good. They have nothing to do with your reading though, this is perfect:

> at 0:24: for the standardized intro, you don't have to repeat "Story Number 50" after the disclaimer, but only say the title

> at 7:51: likewise at the end, you don't need to repeat the title, so you could cut out "Briar Rose" here.

> you have a bit over 6 seconds of silence at the end, could you cut those down to the standardized 5 seconds please ?

then simply re-upload with the same filename, and it's all good :)

thanks

And the length is 9:01.

I'd like to claim section 99, The Spirit in the Bottle, and 16, The Three Snake-Leaves, please. Thanks a lot,

Garth

I'd like to claim section 32 ("Clever Hans").

This will be my first LV recording. Name for crediting would be Kirk Thomas Ott.

I've submitted the one minute test and am awaiting approval (it did pass the Checker program).

If everything goes smoothly with this first recording, I will claim some more sections later.

Thanks,
Kirk

> Garth, thanks for your recording, will PL as soon as possible, and I'll assign you the other two sections you wanted

> Greg, you are really prolific today ! Looking forward to listening to your stories :) and thanks for claiming more

And a separate welcome post for our new member :) Hello Kirk and thanks for deciding on a fairy tale for your very first contribution. I see your one-minute-test has been going well already, so you are ready to roll.

Here is your Reader Page, where you can see all your projects and keep track of which sections you are assigned to: https://librivox.org/reader/11726

I'll assign you Story 32 :) If you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

no, now it's exactly 86.1 dB, which is just inside the accepted volume range. :) Also nicely edited ! Really well done. PL ok now.
