I think Larry will be okay with that. You should have access to the magic window for this project now. I can adjust that when a DPL comes on board.
Cheers!

Thanks Amy, that was wicked fast!

These were great!

Your voice was perfect for this, I felt like I was sitting by a campfire being drawn in by your tales!

Sections 25, 27, 28 and 29 are PL OK!

In section 26, could you please redo the Intro. It was read twice and I think you probably meant to then splice/edit the two together to make it one complete? I'll take another listen after you upload again!

Thanks!

...and I made a slip-up with my other request. It's still section 71 (so it's correct in the MW), but the title is Fair Fannie Moore, not Young Charlottie, which has already been claimed.

EDIT: Here's 71, The Fair Fannie Moore: https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/cowboysongs_071_lomax_128kb.mp3

Peter, all three of your sections, 50, 65 and 71 are PL OK!

I loved how you melodically captured the deep heart-felt melancholy of these pieces.

If it's all right with all, I will PL your pieces, Nemo, and post back here with any comments.

Actually, I am about half through Nemo's pieces "as we speak." If you'd like to jump in on other poems as they come up, though, it would be much appreciated.

JackAllan wrote:Greetings,

I'd like to claim section 7, the Cowboy's Dream. I'm new here, so a question...

The footnote for his section says it's to be sung to the tune of "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean". Although I'm not a singer, I'm happy to try that, or I can do a straight read, or I could give you both. Preference?

I would like it to appear in LibriVox catalog under Jack Allan.
Wonderful, Jack!

I think we'll stick to the reading for this volume, although a number of the do have music. But, if you could read the footnote just before the first line of the poem, that would be great! (No need to say "footnote.")

Thanks, and welcome to LibriVox
Hi Larry,

Here are links to this read. I provided (3) choices - a straight read and two versions of a "cowboy" dialect.
