Edit: I just caught that the file isn't labeled correctly. It's missing the author's name "bain". Carolin, does this need to be changed and exported again with the correct title?

Wow!! I am throughly impressed with how you handled all those commas and long, complicated names. Well done!!Vilkans wrote:http://uploads.librivox.org/carolin/cossackfairytales_01_bain_128kb.mp3

Here is section 1! Sorry it took so long.
Super minor:
Just need those 5 seconds of silence after you say your name. Also, if you want, you named this section "Introduction" (00:22) when in the text it is "Introduction to the First Edition". Not the biggest of deals, so I'll leave it up to you if you want to insert it. Otherwise, just the 5 seconds. Really well done, sir!
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for doing that.KDonProduction wrote:Sections 18 and 19 are reuploaded with PL comments incorporated!

I thought this "first edition" is not all that important, that's why I left it out.BriTea wrote:Wow!! I am throughly impressed with how you handled all those commas and long, complicated names. Well done!!Vilkans wrote:http://uploads.librivox.org/carolin/cossackfairytales_01_bain_128kb.mp3

Thank you, I did check with my Ukrainian friend if I'm pronouncing all these names right Some sounds might have been easier for me since I'm Polish and we share quite a few.
Here is the corrected version https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/cossackfairytales_01_bain_128kb.mp3 (5:41)
Yeah! No worries, just wanted to bring it up just in case. I agree. Not a big deal.Vilkans wrote:I thought this "first edition" is not all that important, that's why I left it out.BriTea wrote:Wow!! I noticed right away that you pronounced Novishny as Novshky, but seeing as you were consistent throughout the entire section and standard PL isn't about pronunciation. This is A-Okay! Plus, who's to say that's not how you pronounce it? I'm no expert!
Notes:
00:45 - There was a bit of stuttering, "Su-bazaar" should be "Such a bazaar..."
04:00 - "Accursed" instead of "Accused" (with my dyslexic mind, I'm in awe you didn't say accused more! Ha)
04:20 - There is a Footnote for "Tsarevko". After the sentence in which the footnote occurs, you can simple add, "[Footnote] Tsareko: A little Tsar. [End Footnote]."
08:20 - The Tsar line is repeated.
10:50 - "Could see nothing..." instead of "Couldn't see nothing..."
12:29 - "Humble bumble bee" instead of "humble bee" (What a mouth full! Ha.)
20:06 - Footnote about the two famous dogs. Again just at the end of the sentence in which the footnote occurs, you just add, "[Footnote] whatever the footnote says [End Footnote]."
25:20 - "At his feet" instead of "At his sleep"
25:20 - There is a footnote here as well about the little wolf cub.
27:30 - Last footnote of the chapter about the little bear cub.
28:11 - "As though" instead of "Although"
32:25 - I hear "he" even though that isn't in the text and it'll make that sentence cleaner. "And he heard his dogs whining where he- they could not get out."
44:55 - "And when they had thought it - it well over..." Just edit out that first "it" and it'll sound great!
Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks again for reading such a long chapter. You're almost done.
This one was great! Just two footnotes that were missed and easily edited in!Lmnei wrote:Hi!

There are just 2 that were missed in Section 05.
10:52 - I hear "couldn't" and the text reads "could". I apologize if my note was confusing. But it should be "Could see nothing" or "Couldn't see anything" if that's easier. They both mean the same thing. But as it is now is actually the opposite of what is happening in the story.
45:11 - "And when they had thought it well - it well over..." Just edit out that first "it well" and it will be stumble clear!
Section 17 is --PL OK--
