Hi,

I would like to claim Section 52, the role of Julia.
I still have a question about the singing, though. I saw that there are two parts uploaded so far. Should I just sing the melody, should I compose a third female part or is there one already that I could use?

Thanks so much in advance!

Greetings,
Tabea

Greetings,
Hello Tabea
Thank you for your claim. If you could listen to the two that are already uploaded and try to match the pace and tempo with your own singing. However once we get beyond 3 or four readers edited together it can become difficult to match up the different recordings so it may be that we only use 2 or 3 people so if you would prefer not to record the carol that is no problem.

Thanks
Michele

thank you for your section. Just for future reference although it doesn't matter for this project as the sections will be edited together.
Please can you make sure that the file name is all in lowercase. So for this is would be

householdgods_faun_crowley.mp3

Thanks
Michele

Tabea,

Thank you very much for claiming Julia! I would greatly appreciate you singing as one more voice would be enough to make it sound like a grandmother and a few children. After sampling a few of your recordings I think your voice would mix well with those already submitted, but as Michele said you do not have to.

In the play Jerusha sings a verse and then everyone sings another (MaryAnn chose verses 4 for the group sing). She also put together a piano track.
MaryAnnSpiegel wrote:Our carol for Jerusha Grumble will be "Joy to the World" in C, verses 1 and 4.

Link to piano track is here (along with a tapping foot to help us stay together; thankfully the slightly out of tune piano will NOT be part of the finished play, since the girls and Jerusha are singing acapella):

Words:

He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love, and wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders of His love.

MaryAnn

Hi,

did not really answer my question.. but I recorded the role with a third part for the song. I also added a version of the three voices already combined to the end of the recording. If that's not ok, I can also record a version of me singing the melody ;)

So here's the recording:

length: 04:53

Greetings,
Tabea

Greetings,
Hi sorry if the explanation wasn't clear. David will be able to let you know if any edits are needed when he has listened to the section. Many Thanks
Michele
